The 50 Meter Jeep Dash

In Society on June 26, 2012 at 9:58 am

Notice passenger jeeps stopping every few seconds, and within spitting distance of the place where they last stopped? Means they’ll be staying in first or second gear for most of their route, and treating their rushing passengers to a snail’s pace commute. Imagine how much fuel and time could be saved, by the jeeps and the cars stuck behind them, if these public vehicles stopped at least 50 meters from where they last picked up passengers.

Like the idea? Start walking back towards jeepneys stopped a short distance from you, instead of waiting for them to lunge forward as they try to beat each other to you and your recently hiked up fare.
